Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need to defrost the frozen waffle fries?

No. For best results, take the waffles straight out of the freezer, mix with the oil and salt and cook in your air fryer. If they defrost first they won’t get as crispy.

Can you use this recipe to cook frozen fries?

Yes! You can easily swap the waffle fries for frozen French fries or wedges. The timings may alter slightly, so just check them after 10 minutes and shake the basket regularly.

Can you make them ahead of time and reheat?

These waffles only take a few minutes to cook in the air fryer, but leftovers will reheat well within the next couple of days. Place them into a preheated air fryer basket at 400F and cook for 3 to 4 minutes and they’ll get nice and crispy again.

Can you cook them without oil?

The oil helps to brown and crisp up the fries really nicely, but they do come out well without it if you prefer.
