Serving Suggestions

Brussels sprouts are in season from October through to March, so you can enjoy these anytime during the winter and early spring. They are great as part of a weeknight meal, but are a must to serve at Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Try them with some of these favorites:

Make Ahead, Storage and Reheating

You can prep and wrap the sprouts a day ahead of time and keep them covered in the fridge. Let them come up to room temperature before cooking in the air fryer.

For best results, enjoy these as soon as they are cooked. Leftovers will keep well for 3 to 4 days and can be reheated in the air fryer at 400F / 200c for 3 to 4 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you use frozen Brussels spouts?

I prefer to use fresh, but frozen will work just as well in this recipe. You will have to wrap the sprouts whole as they will be tricky to cut in half!

Can you make this recipe without oil?

I like to add a little oil to the sprouts to help the seasonings stick and to aid even cooking. You can skip the oil if you prefer as you will get extra fat from the bacon.

Can you serve them as an appetizer?

Personally, sprouts are a side dish for me, but I have seen people serving these as an appetizer if you so wish. When they come out of the air fryer, push a cocktail stick through the middle of each one and serve.

These air fryer bacon wrapped sprouts are an easy way to mix things up this holiday season. Prep and clean up is minimal – exactly how it should be at this time of the year! The sprouts are tender and flavorful and the bacon is perfectly crispy. I know you’re going to love these!

Recipe Notes and Tips

  • I prefer to cut the sprouts in half as it can help to reduce their bitterness. If you have small sprouts, then you can leave them whole.
  • When you wrap the sprouts, gently pull and tease the bacon so that it stretches around. The ends should be overlapping.
  • Cook in a single layer with a small gap between each piece. This will ensure that the bacon gets crispy all over.
