- ½ stick salted butter (softened)
- 2 large garlic cloves (minced / finely diced)
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated parmesan (optional)
- pinch salt and black pepper
- 2 English muffins
Preheat the oven to 400F / 200c.
Add the butter, diced garlic, parmesan and salt and pepper to a small bowl. Mash together with a fork til combined.
Break the muffins in half and spread the garlic butter mix over the cut side of each muffin. Place into a baking tin, or on a baking sheet, buttered side up.
Place the muffins in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes til crispy. You can then place under the broiler to brown the tops for a minute or two if you like.
- You can half the amount of butter to reduce calories, though that's something I would never do!
- Break the English muffins open with a fork, rather than cut them open with a knife. They will have a crispier texture this way.
- For best results, preheat the oven for an even cook and a crispy bite!
