Equipment

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400F / 200c.
  • Cut the potatoes in half and add to a large bowl. Slice the onion and add to the potatoes.
  • Add the oil and seasonings to the bowl and toss well so that the potatoes and onions are evenly coated.
  • Once the air fryer is at temperature, add the seasoned potatoes and onions to the basket. Set to cook at 400F / 200c for 20 minutes.
  • Toss halfway through so that everything cooks evenly. Check for doneness from 17 minutes.

Notes

  • I prefer to cut the potatoes in half as you get more crispy edges and they are sure to cook through. Smaller potatoes can be left whole if you prefer.
  • I love to have my onions slightly charred, if you want yours less done and softer, add them in half way through cooking the potatoes.
  • Preheat the air fryer before adding the potatoes and onions. If your air fryer doesn't have a preheat function, let it run at 400F / 200c for 5 minutes while you prep everything.
  • This recipe is easily doubled, but if you do, you will need to shake the basket a few extra times during cooking to make sure that everything is cooked evenly.
