Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 bell peppers (I used 2 red, 1 orange and 1 yellow, but any mix of colors can be used)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (any high heat neutral oil like canola, vegetable or avocado)
  • pinch salt and pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400F / 200c.
  • Cut the tops off of the bell peppers and chop them into quarters and place in a large bowl.
  • Add the oil and seasonings to the bowl and toss so that the peppers are well coated.
  • Place in the pre heated air fryer at 400F / 200c for 15 minutes. Flip over halfway through cooking.
  • For peppers with more of a bite, reduce the cooking time, and on more time for softer more charred peppers.

Notes

  • Cut the bell peppers into fairly even pieces so that they cook through at the same time.
  • If desired, the skins can be easily peeled off after roasting.
  • This recipe works well with all colors of bell peppers.
  • For best results, pre heat the air fryer fully before roasting the peppers.
